Concept of the month September 2014 SMALL DIFFICULTIES OF WHICH THE SOLUTIONS CAN LEAD TO GREAT JOY

A few weeks ago, we went on a cycling holiday. When we left the house, there was a drag in my rear wheel. Although it didnít sound very serious, it disturbed me. As we had to drop by our childís uncle anyway, we asked him to take a look. Once the fault was remedied, we resumed our trip with a huge smile. This was because even though it had only been a small difficulty, its solution led to great joy.

In said case, the circumstances practically forced me to take immediate action. In most cases, I tend to overthink what to do about small difficulties like these. Doing this makes them steadily grow into large difficulties. Take the zip of my winter coat, for instance. First, I spent months messing about with it. Then summer came and I forgot about it. Now, autumn has arrived and time is pressing to finally have it repaired. I am sure it will make me quite happy.

My overthinking, however, can also work out for the better. Such as when you know that a certain small difficulty will only grow and cannot be solved. Then these thoughts create ideas about new possibilities. This way, this small difficulty can lead to the greatest joy in your life. From toe to top.
