Concept of the month March 2011: AT A FOOTPACE

In a world filled with haste, ultimate beauty takes its time. Healing, training, relaxation and love thrive when approached with patience. Having a mind like a bouncy ball, I find that hard to do sometimes. Especially in this month, with the spring air fizzing with new life, it is quite the art to steer clear of rushing. However, when I take a closer look, I see that this very new life was built entirely on slowness. Growth passes at a footpace.

Vehicles carrying heroes, lying in a casket or waving at the crowd, pass at a footpace as well. Thus enabling admirers to walk along, as beauty blossoms thanks to slowness. This is because to pass at a footpace implies staying close for a long time. To stay close is to enjoy the moment. To pass at a footpace is to cherish. This takes us back to my previous blog.

Another thing that goes at a footpace, is my recovery from a heel injury. I am happy to be able to walk through my beloved park again. When I first returned, I spotted a small turtle. When on land, this animal is the natural king of moving at a footpace. I quickly took his picture and slowly resumed my stride. Step by step.
